Quick Start Guide

Follow this guide to set up AutoSeq and create your first automated sequence enrollment in just 5 minutes.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
  • ✅ HubSpot Sales Hub Pro subscription
  • ✅ At least one active sequence in HubSpot
  • ✅ Admin or Super Admin access to your HubSpot account
  • ✅ A clear idea of what you want to automate

Setup Steps

1

Sign up for AutoSeq

Visit dashboard.autoseq.com and click "Get Started Free". You'll be prompted to create an account using your email address.

💡Use your work email address - the same one you use for HubSpot. This makes it easier to manage access.
2

Connect Your HubSpot Account

Click the "Connect HubSpot" button. You'll be redirected to HubSpot to authorize AutoSeq. This is a secure OAuth connection - AutoSeq never sees your password.

💡Make sure you're logged into the correct HubSpot portal before connecting. If you have multiple portals, you'll need to select the right one.
3

Create Your First Workspace

Workspaces help you organize your automation. If this is your first time, AutoSeq will automatically create a default workspace for you. You can rename it later.

4

Sync Your Data

Click "Sync Data" to import your HubSpot sequences, users, and mailboxes. This usually takes 10-30 seconds depending on how much data you have.

💡AutoSeq will only sync users who have Sales Hub Pro access. If someone is missing, check their HubSpot permissions.
5

Set Up Your First Automated Enrollment

Go to HubSpot → Workflows → Create workflow. Add the "AutoSeq: Enroll in sequence" action. Select your workspace, sequence, and mailbox. Activate the workflow.

💡Start with a simple workflow first, like "When contact fills out form X, enroll in sequence Y". You can get fancy later!
Congratulations! 🎉
You've successfully set up AutoSeq! Contacts will now be automatically enrolled in your sequence when they trigger your workflow.

Verify Your Setup

To make sure everything is working correctly, you can:

  1. Test the workflow - Manually enroll a test contact in your workflow to see if they get added to the sequence
  2. Check the usage dashboard - Go to AutoSeq → Usage to see if enrollments are being tracked
  3. View HubSpot sequence - Check your sequence in HubSpot to see if the test contact appears
Pro Tip
Use a test contact first! Create a contact with your own email address or a test email to verify everything works before enrolling real prospects.

Common First Setup Scenarios

Here are some popular use cases to get you started:

Scenario 1: Form Submission → Sequence

Goal: When someone fills out your "Request Demo" form, automatically enroll them in your demo nurture sequence.

Setup:

  1. HubSpot → Workflows → Create contact-based workflow
  2. Enrollment trigger: "Form submission" = "Request Demo Form"
  3. Add action: "AutoSeq: Enroll in sequence"
  4. Configure: Select "Demo Nurture" sequence and your mailbox
  5. Activate workflow

Scenario 2: Lead Score Threshold → Sequence

Goal: When a contact's lead score reaches 75, automatically enroll them in your high-intent outreach sequence.

Setup:

  1. HubSpot → Workflows → Create contact-based workflow
  2. Enrollment trigger: "Contact property" = "HubSpot Score" is greater than or equal to "75"
  3. Add action: "AutoSeq: Enroll in sequence"
  4. Configure: Select "High Intent Outreach" sequence and inbox rotation
  5. Activate workflow
Good to Know
Pro tip: Add a filter to exclude contacts already in a sequence to prevent double-enrollment.

Scenario 3: Deal Stage Change → Sequence

Goal: When a deal moves to "Proposal Sent" stage, enroll the contact in a follow-up sequence.

Setup:

  1. HubSpot → Workflows → Create deal-based workflow
  2. Enrollment trigger: "Deal stage" = "Proposal Sent"
  3. Add action: "AutoSeq: Enroll in sequence" (select associated contact)
  4. Configure: Select "Proposal Follow-up" sequence
  5. Activate workflow

Understanding Your Free Plan

The free plan includes:

  • 25 executions per month - Each workflow enrollment counts as 1 execution
  • All core features - Workflow enrollment, inbox rotation, analytics
  • Unlimited workspaces - Organize by team, campaign, or however you like
  • Unlimited rotation strategies - Create as many as you need
Important
What counts as an execution? Every time a contact is enrolled in a sequence through AutoSeq, that's 1 execution. This counter resets on the 1st of each month.
