Pricing & Billing Details
Prorated Billing (Mid-Cycle Upgrades)
If you upgrade in the middle of your billing period, you pay a prorated amount:
How it works:
- Calculate days remaining in current billing cycle
- Calculate prorated cost of new plan for those days
- Subtract any credit from current plan (if applicable)
- Charge the difference immediately
- Next billing cycle starts on your original billing date at full price
Example 1: Free → Starter Mid-Month
- Current plan: Free ($0/month)
- New plan: Starter ($49/month)
- Days remaining in cycle: 15 out of 30
- Prorated charge: $49 × (15/30) = $24.50 today
- Next month: Full $49/month charge
Example 2: Starter → Professional Mid-Month
- Current plan: Starter ($49/month)
- New plan: Professional ($149/month)
- Already paid $49 for this month
- Days remaining: 20 out of 30
- Prorated difference: ($149 - $49) × (20/30) = $66.67 today
- Next month: Full $149/month charge
Billing Cycle After Upgrade
Your billing date does NOT change when you upgrade:
- If you subscribed on the 15th, you'll always bill on the 15th
- Execution limits reset on the 15th of each month
- Upgrading on the 22nd doesn't change your billing date to the 22nd
Execution Count After Upgrade
Current Month's Usage Carries Over
When you upgrade, your current usage count does NOT reset:
Example:
- You're on Free plan (25 executions/month)
- You've used 23 executions so far this month
- You upgrade to Starter (500 executions/month)
- Your usage becomes: 23 / 500
- You have 477 executions remaining for the rest of the month
- On your billing renewal date, it resets to 0 / 500
Paused Workflows Resume
If your workflows were paused due to hitting your limit:
- They automatically resume within 5 minutes of upgrading
- Contacts who triggered workflows during the pause will NOT be enrolled retroactively
- Only new workflow triggers after upgrade will work
Important: You may have "lost" enrollments during the pause period. Upgrade before hitting your limit to avoid this.

- Check card hasn't expired
- Confirm billing address matches card
- Try a different card
- Contact your bank (may be flagged as fraud)
- Try ACH payment if on Professional plan
Limit Not Updating After Upgrade

Solutions:
- Refresh the page (Cmd+R or Ctrl+R)
- Log out and log back in
- Check Settings → Billing to verify upgrade succeeded
- Check your email for payment receipt
- If payment went through but limit didn't update, contact support
Charged Wrong Amount
Problem: Charge doesn't match expected prorated amount
Solutions:
- Check the receipt email for itemized breakdown
- Verify days remaining in billing cycle
- Check if there were any credits or discounts applied
- Contact support with receipt if amount seems incorrect
Can You Downgrade?
Yes, you can downgrade to a lower plan:
Downgrade Process
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Change Plan"
- Select lower tier
- Confirm downgrade
What happens:
- Downgrade takes effect at END of current billing period
- You keep current plan features until then
- No refund for unused days
- On next billing date, new lower tier activates
Example:
- You're on Professional ($149/month), renews on the 10th
- Today is the 5th, you request downgrade to Starter
- You keep Professional features until the 10th
- On the 10th, plan changes to Starter ($49/month)
- You're charged $49 on the 10th (not $149)
Upgrade Best Practices
Upgrade Proactively
- Don't wait until you hit your limit

- Review usage trends monthly to predict when upgrade is needed
- Get manager approval ahead of time for planned upgrades
Test Features on Trial

- Save 20% vs. monthly billing
- Lock in current pricing
- Simplify budgeting (one annual charge)
